There are two main steps to take to apply for a course at WIT
Fill out the CAO form before either 1 February or the late application deadline on 1 May. Please note that students applying for WD027 BA (Hons) in Music must apply by 1 February. Applicants who are applying on mature grounds for nursing must also apply by 1 February.
After applying through the CAO, you must complete WIT’s Mature Applicant Assessment form, which you will receive directly from WIT’s Admissions Office by mid-March (for 1st February applicants) or mid-May (for 1st May applicants).
If you do not receive the assessment form within the guideline dates above, it is your responsibility to contact WIT's Admission Office at email@example.com. Late forms are not accepted.
Mature Applicants – Change of Mind
The Change of Mind facility becomes available after 1st May and the closing date is 1st July. The Change of Mind Facility affords you an opportunity, if you wish, to change the order of preference only of your course choices.
If you introduce a new programme to your list of choices by way of Change of Mind, you will compete for a place on that programme based on your Leaving Certificate or FETAC results only.
Restricted-Application Course – WD027 BA Music – if added for the first time via a Change of Mind is invalid and will not be considered. Closing date is 1st February.
Nursing - If you are competing under mature grounds for nursing, you may not enter on a Change of Mind any nursing code, unless at least one such nursing code was among your choices at 1st February and you have taken the aptitude test in the year you seek admission.

Such documents must arrive in CAO within 10 days of the submission of the online application in order to be considered in the assessment of your application by WIT.

Completing the Mature Applicant Assessment Form
Read the instructions provided carefully prior to filling out the form
Completed form must be received by WIT by the date specified on the front of the form (ordinarily 10 days from date of issue by WIT).
Decisions taken will be related to your course choices on the Mature Applicant Assessment Form only. If you introduce a new course choice on a Change of Mind Form, you will compete for a place on that course based on your Leaving Certificate or equivalent points only. Successful candidates will be offered a place in the highest of their course preferences to which they are entitled (if any). This will be done, independently, in respect of level 8 and level 7/level 6. You may, therefore, receive two offers at the same time, one for the highest level 8 preference to which you are entitled and the other for the highest level 7/level 6 preference to which you are entitled. Offers to mature applicants are normally made in Round A from the Central Applications Office; Round A is scheduled for early July, 2018.
Music Applicants: The closing date for applications to BA (Hons) in MUSIC – WD027 (Level 8) is 1st February.
